About Ranjeet :-

Gopal Bedi (popularly known by his screen name Ranjeet; born 12 September 1942) is an Indian film and television,actor born in Jandiala Guru near Amritsar (Punjab). He has played mostly character roles, with roles as the villain dominating his over 450 Hindi films. He has also worked in a number of Punjabi films such as Rab Ne Banayian Jodiyan and Man Jeete Jag Jeet.

Ranjeet's real name is Gopal Bedi. Besides acting in over 450 Hindi movies, he has also done a television serial Aisa Des Hai Mera and Punjabi films. He shot to fame after playing a negative role in the film Sharmeelee. Ranjeet had come to Mumbai to play the lead role in Zindagi Ki Rahen, which was shelved. He went ahead to establish himself as a leading villain in the seventies and early eighties. In personal life, he is a vegetarian and non-smoker.

He has a weird record of doing 350 rapes onscreen

Actor Sunil Dutt suggested him to join politics, but he didn't show much interest in it.

He directed 2 movies in the 90s, "Ghazab Tamasha" and "Kaaranama".

He also appeared in a TV serial called “Aisa Des Hai Mera.”

It was Sunil Dutt, who recommended his name for “Sharmeelee”, after watching his performance in “Sawan Bhadon” and “Reshma Aur Shera.

He was a football goalkeeper during his college days.

He is well known for his iconic Mediterranean style bungalow and hospitality.

He was offered the role of Gabbar Singh in "Sholay" after Danny Denzongpa, but due to no confirmation from Danny, he didn't say yes.

His wife Aaloka's real name is Nazneen and she's niece of actress Mumtaz.
